Previously known as 'An Evening with Miss Wong'
Anna May Wong, the pioneering Chinese-American actress who, despite the odds, became one of Hollywood's best loved stars.

From laundry girl to one of Hollywood's most glamorous stars in 1930s, the tragic and wonderful life of Anna May Wong. Fighting against prejudice and ignorance she rose to become one of the acting elite, the leading lady that was not allowed to kiss her leading man. Inter-weaved with songs and clips from her films. This is her story, her search for identity, her hopes and fears, and the personal sacrifices she made for the art that she loved.
"An Evening with Miss Wong" was first conceived and developed by actress Michelle Yim, composer Pearl Yim and Grist to the Mill Productions in 2018. The project is supported using funding from Arts Council England. The production started with a rehearsed reading at Buxton Fringe 2018 and debuted at Edinburgh Fringe 2018.
