#TakingFlight2019
Red Dragonfly’s Taking Flight New Writing Festival has scoured the UK in search of new and fresh British East Asian, South Asian and South East Asian stories for the stage since 2017. So without further ado, for our third and final year, we are delighted to bring another three exciting short plays from an Eastern perspective from emerging British writers:
A Piece of Cake by Harinder Dhillon – it's that wedding that we've all been to and have left early. A comedy.
Little Potatoes by Clare Reddaway – a powerful, bittersweet comedy-drama about marriage, mothers, and family planning.
Aiko by Jenny Stark – After all these years it is time to leave her home and she has packed everything except her heart. Everybody should have a Grandmother like Aiko.
