Scholar Wang hates everything. He hates his wife, his life and anything else you dare to mention, but when he drunkenly takes on a dare his past literally comes back to haunt him.
It doesn’t matter if you believe in the supernatural, it just matters if it believes in you – a Grimm tale of greed, lust and vengeance based on the rather blood thirsty stories from the 18th Century book by Pu Song Ling.
'The Fox, The Slipper, and The Severed Head' is a brand new adaptation of Chinese supernatural stories from Strange Tales from a Chinese Studios. Debuted at Brighton Fringe in 2025 at The Rotunda Theatre.

''a delightful piece of theatre, charmingly performed and effectively told, bringing a centuries-old set of moral lessons up to date without losing the poetry and fun of the culture and time from which it dates.'
'''A Chinese morality fable told delightfully against a clever set of rear-projected scenes that help to lift it to something a bit different'
